Malaysia: Kee’s Farmstay @ Pertang

It started out from a discussion and it happened within few days that we worked out this holiday escape. Few person, including me who working were being drag suddenly but we were grateful that we did aboard! Kee’s Farmstay is a super duper nice place to escape from hectic city life & back to nature.

2 Hours drive from Cheras, we reached Titi – Jelebu 知知港 (Hakka Town since 1838) on a hot sunny day to have our lunch. It was great! The people who live there are so friendly and giving us warm welcome while we walking around to snap snap shoot shoot buy buy :). I came across with an aged Chinese medic shop with a 70+ years old healthy uncle. He told us some history of the Titi town and even showed us the book written by him – History of Titi, RM50 per book but only can be purchased at his shop ^^”. Later on bumped in a friendly grandma with age 80 over yet still so healthy, might be slow but walking like a young lady. She even “sayang” me while we leaved. *aww~ so warm*

Around 3pm we moved to Kee’s Farmstay which located 45minutes away from Titi Town. Along the way we get to pass by few kampung (village) and seeing their relaxing lifestyle which is big difference with city life. Upon arrival at Kee’s Farm, we were welcomed by 3 ducks! Yes, 3 ducks that walking around outside our room. Due to weekdays, we are the only guest of the farm, 5 cars 5 rooms.. which means we are actually owning the place for 1 night! Haha :D ! Kee’s farmstay give you a feeling of “Harvest Moon” – If you know the game *winks*. We were surrounded by plenty of coconut trees, flowers, vegetables, green grass, birds, ducks, chickens, goats etc! We had a great time during the night with the complete BBQ facilities, clean air-cond rooms, fishing pond, fresh coconuts pluck from trees, picking up eggs and cook to eat right away and of cause the fresh air environment. :D

You will get awaken by lovely bird’s singing early in the morning followed by rooster’s cuckoo which is just outside your room door. In addition, perhaps it’s a bad news for those all time ipad, tab, smart phone users, you won’t get to access your internet data / you won’t get wifi facility at this place. Not because of the hidden place, but because Kee’s Farm boss purposes to want their guest to really enjoy the natured without these gadgets. Enhancing conversation between the guest and really away from hectic life to get your mind fully relax. (Which I really support this concept).

In addition, to the photographers, you will surely get lots nice shot here while enjoying the stay. Due to the darkness in the night, you can get nice shot of starfield and also milky way! Great place for portraiture shooting as well and you will surely love it as much as we do! Although there are a minor accident happened to our car while we on the way back but thanks GOD that we have great people in our group to change the tyre within 15minutes! Truly grateful and blessed while you are under Grace *YAY*

We had good foods, great guitar-singing session, wonderful money-can’t-buy experiences along this trip. Greatest part is you won’t spend much money yet get to enjoy 5 Stars stay!  Oh-ya, almost forgotten, my greatest experience for this trip was picking fresh eggs which lay in front of us! The eggs are warm and soft then slowly become hard. OMG I was so excited! We also get to taste fresh duck’s egg from the farm! I would strongly recommend this place to all of you. 8 out of 10 Rating! The other 2 gone due the way to Kee’s farm was not easy to find & during evening the road was in pitch dark which is so danger if you want to go out to hunt foods. Other than that everything was great!

 Room Facilities : 1 room fits 4 person (up to 6 or more for young people), 2 Queen size beds with pillows, bed sheets, 2 blanket, Air Cond, Fan, Water Boiler, Water heater, Clothes hanger, Table, and 1 power plug. (Suggestions : Bring your own toiletries, blanket, bring extension power adapter, towel, pillow)

BBQ Facilities : BBQ place with lights, 2 water sink to wash stuff along with dish cleaner liquid. (Suggestions : Bring charcoal, steel net to put on top of charcoal while BBQ, own BBQ stick, plates, fork, spoon, bowl, fruits, drinks etc)
